"I like the idea behind Aimchess..."
I like the idea behind Aimchess, and there are definitely some useful lessons and stats in there, but using it on my phone hasn’t been great. Pages sometimes take a while to load, and the buttons feel a little too small or awkward to tap.
The mobile layout is just kind of hard to describe, but it feels cramped in a way that makes everything less smooth. I had to zoom in a few times just to use certain parts, and that took me out of the experience

"I’d say it’s worth it overall..."
I’d say it’s worth it overall, especially if you’re using it for training. The quality is good, and it does what I need, though I did feel like the price was a bit higher than I expected. Still, I’ve been using it and it’s been helpful, so I can’t really complain too much

"Finally, something that calls out my dumb chess habits"
I’ve been using Aimchess for a few weeks now, it’s been way more helpful than I expected. It keeps pointing out the stuff I apparently do all the time, like making bad trades for no reason or rushing through positions that aren’t even complicated. Which is annoying, because yes, fine, it’s right. The feedback actually feels personal instead of just generic chess advice, and the lessons are short enough that I don’t talk myself out of doing them after a game. It’s not some magic fix that suddenly makes you a genius, but I do feel like I’m slowing down and thinking better. Happy with it so far.
"Hard to trust the progress tracking"
I wanted to like the progress tracking, but the stats don’t seem to update correctly. It makes it really hard to tell if I’m actually improving or just being shown numbers that don’t mean much. I’m always a little worried with apps like this that I’m getting fooled into thinking I’m making progress when I’m not.

"Not quite the kind of practice I was hoping for"
I’ve been trying to work on my chess a bit more lately, so I gave these puzzles a shot during a few practice sessions. The layout was fine and some of the positions were okay to go through, but after a while I started noticing they didn’t really feel connected to the kinds of mistakes I actually make in my games. A bunch were either super obvious or oddly specific in a way that didn’t feel very practical. I was hoping it would help me improve in a more targeted way, but it mostly just felt kind of random

"I really like the idea behind this, and..."
I really like the idea behind this, and when it works, it’s actually helpful. But the site has frozen on me a few times during analysis, and sometimes my games just don’t load at all. Support took a while to get back to me too, which was frustrating, though to be fair, they were polite when they did respond. I’m hoping it gets more stable because I’d definitely use it more.

"Lessons felt kinda half-baked"
The courses felt thin. I was expecting more depth, but most of it came off kinda basic and half-assed, like they barely scratched the surface.

"Canceling was refreshingly straightforward"
I didn’t end up using Aim Chess for very long, so I can’t speak to everything it offers, but canceling my subscription was surprisingly easy. There weren’t any hidden menus or annoying hoops to jump through. I found the option quickly and had it done in about a minute. i wish more sites handled cancellations this smoothly.

"Helpful, but not the game-changing breakdown I hoped for"
I came in expecting this to be my grand strategy awakening, but it was more like a gentle nudge in the right direction. The game analysis does help a bit, and I picked up a few useful things, but sometimes it feels basic. There were moments where I was staring at the screen like, “Wait, that’s it?” because I really wanted certain plays or mistakes explained in more detail. It’s not bad at all, just not the epic deep dive I was hoping for...
"Helpful support, just not immediate"
I had a problem with my account and reached out to support. They got back to me the next day, which wasn’t the fastest, but it wasn’t a big deal. The person I spoke with was friendly, and they ended up fixing the issue without making it complicated. Overall, it was a smooth and positive experience.

"Felt like the improvement part was on me"
I used Aimchess for a bit hoping it would actually help me get better, but I didn’t really notice much improvement. Some of the drills felt kind of random, and a lot of the advice was basic, like things I’d already figured out just from playing. It would point out mistakes, but it didn’t really explain how to fix them in a way that actually stuck. After a while it felt like they were just telling me I was messing up and leaving it up to me to figure out the rest. Maybe it works for other people, but for me it ended up feeling like a waste of time.

"Hard to find what I need"
I keep getting lost in the menus, they feel kind of messy and run slow on my laptop.
